Adobe InDesign server and QuarkXPress server.

The ISY3 layout and rendering engine is the Adobe InDesign server respectively QuarkXPress server. This makes it possible to use Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress documents directly as a template with least possible effort, inclusive of all defined document and layout qualities. The solution is characterised by the fact that exactly those functions of Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress can be chosen which are necessary for the respective step.

Editing texts and tables.

ISY3 allows for a change of text frame contents in the document. All style sheets, colours and paragraph formats defined in the document can be chosen. Display and tool options in the text editor are freely configurable. A special table support makes sure that with ISY3, individualising a table is just as simple as working on normal text frames.

Exchanging pictures.

During the template preparation the user can define for each picture frame which pictures shall be used from ISY3 Media Asset Management. In the ideal case, precisely not static but dynamically assigned via a defined search (For example:  "All pictures in the status X with the indexing Y of the project Z"). Recently inserted pictures that correspond to the search criteria are so perhaps automatically available for use. It is in addition up to the user to exchange every picture manually, place, scale and rotate it freely. Furthermore, the upload of one´s own pictures is optional for immediate use or after release. Of course manageable via the Rights Management.

Placing and exchanging products.

If ISY3 operates simultaneously as Product Information Management, it is possible to place and to exchange, besides pictures, also whole products in a template. So not only the picture but also all accompanying information like e.g. price, item number, headline and various descriptions are updated in one step.

Adaptive sizes.

ISY3 enables the generation of size adaptive templates. The template "grows" and "shrinks" depending on non standard format and type area. The respective CI- control system ensures thereby also non-proportional size adaptations.

Live preview.

Besides the omnipresent and scrollable WYSIWYG preview, a binding PDF preview is ready any time. In the preview, ISY3 represents all editable elements of a document in a graphically clear way. Every element can be activated and edited by simply clicking. In addition, the up-to-date processing status is available as an open Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress document any time.
