The basis for this are web-based RIA-clients which can be freely configured according to your requirements, based on Adobe Flex- and Adobe AIR technology. So ISY3 does not only run under Windows and on the Mac, in the Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari (100% cross-platform-compatible), but in practice it is also impressively easy to handle. ISY3 is based on an innovative 3-tier-Client-Server-Architecture and operates with approved standard technologies like J2EE, XML or Web Services. A powerful Oracle database works in the background. Thanks to the intuitive, graphic user interface ISY3 ensures maximum acceptance by every user.
An essential foundation of ISY3 is the plug-in ability. Its flexible, central configuration makes it possible, even within the standard itself, to integrate customer-specific adjustments also at short notice.
ISY3 is locatable at all levels and masters an arbitrary number of system languages. By this, all in the UTF8/Unicode portrayable characters are supported. Translated phrases can be managed client-specific and made available within ISY3 at any places.
In the architecture of ISY3, multi-client capability is also deep-seated. All configurations and settings for a client are operated in the system. In turn, the administration of information and data is central and can be limited for clients. Together with the function "Customer Export/Import" this permits a flexible use of synergies.
ISY3 can, by means of freely definable Themes, adapt to the Look & Feel of your Corporate Design, to that of single brands or of different clients. The basis for this is the Adobe Flex- and Adobe AIR-Theme- Technology.
The very flexible configuration concept permits an exceptionally high freedom regarding the definition of access rights. Up to role-dependent individual views of functions, information and data. Optional group and role definitions as well as editable rules on function and display level plus logic terms make a structured and fine granular control system possible.
ISY3 supports Single-Sign-On and the connections with LDAP- as well as Active-Directory- or Open-Directory-Authentication servers. Further connections can be carried out via interfaces. The integrated contact administration enables you to manage users fast and efficiently and to flexibly store further properties for them.
ISY3 offers notification options when changes of meta information or status changes of data occur, and in many other events. ISY3 automatically - if required - informs all users when the contents or the composition of a stored search changes, e.g. by e-mail or RSS Feed.
ISY3 supports the reading and writing of arbitrary XMP-information. This makes it possible to realise professional XMP-based workflows, amongst others. Furthermore export-/ import functions, e.g. as XML, JDF, BMECat or CSV, are available for all information.
ISY3 adjusts, by means of Filesystem-Adapter-Technology, to your existing IT environment, takes up its structures and updates itself. Manual check-in processes are completely omitted. ISY3 synchronises itself without thereby creating redundant data stocks. Both Helios and XINET, which are common in the media sector, as well as Windows/Windows Server or Mac OSX File Systems, are supported. Common tape drives, DVD and nearline-storages, take over archiving.
The ISY3 rendering engines realise applications of the highest complexity. Integrated amongst others are: Adobe InDesign Server, QuarkXPress Server, ImageMagick, Helios ImageServer and Dalim Twist.
The integrated workflow system configures individual processes, automates and monitors them. All processes are centrally monitored and recorded in the process monitoring.
Cluster-, Failover- and Load-Balancing-Abilities are firmly anchored from the basis onwards in the architecture. This ensures distribution of locations, high availability and failure safety.
ISY3 permits system access both via SSL-encoded as well as VPN-protected connections. HTTPS is also a standard.
